Dental Crowns
A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers a damaged, weakened, or root-canal-treated tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance.
When is a crown needed?
- After root canal treatment (RCT)
- Cracked, fractured, or heavily worn teeth
- Large filling with little remaining tooth structure
- Severely stained or misshapen teeth
Materials available
- Metal-ceramic: Strong and economical
- Zirconia: Highly durable and aesthetic
- E-max: Most natural, ideal for front teeth
Procedure & care
Most crowns require two visits — preparation and impression in the first, and permanent fitting in the second. Brush and floss daily, avoid biting very hard objects, and visit us for regular check-ups.
